一、教学目标：

1.学生能听懂、理解单词和句型want、How old are you?What a nice cake!Make a wish.It’s time for... 等在文中的意思，能初步听懂、会读、会说日常交际用语：It’s time for….

2.通过观察文本插图，学生能描述与文本相关的背景信息,培养学生概括文本信息的能力。

3.通过开放性设问，让学生推测文本信息，培养学生快速捕捉文章大意的能力；通过精读培养学生获取文本详细信息的能力和在情境中感知，理解，猜测相关词汇的能力。如：turn ,round and round,fall to the ground等的意义。.

4.通过设置语境“birthday party”将两个板块串联起来，让学生体验不同板块的趣味性。并掌握字母s在单词中的发音。

5.通过朗读文本内容，完成相关练习，加深对文本信息的理解。通过观察文本内容，朗读、表演文本形成语感，使学生初步能用有关英语知识进行交际。

6.结合生活，进一步强化提升对新句型运用的能力，学会正确的评价方式。有效渗透育人价值，对生活持有正确的价值观，使学生能热爱生活，热爱学习。

二、教材分析：

本课是《译林版小学英语》（3下）Unit5 How old are you?的第三教时内容，主要学习Cartoon time和Sound time。本节课围绕“生日派对”这一话题展开教学活动。这节课介绍了一些过生日时的交际用语，这是一个学生十分感兴趣的话题，内容十分丰富，可发挥的空间也比较大。要充分利用这一有趣的教学材料，鼓励他们用英语在生日派对这一情境中尽情地发挥。用游戏的方式掌握字母s在单词中的发音。

三、学情分析：

本节课的教学对象是孟河实验小学三（5）班的学生。在学习本课之前，学生已经掌握了一定量有关的词汇和句型，并能运用这些词汇进行日常交际对话。帮助他们感知询问对方的年龄，在练习与交流中自主掌握、接受语篇内容，并能运用一定的方法进行自主阅读、解题。本节课所谈论的话题“birthday party”是学生们所喜爱的，感兴趣的，为学生学习本单元提供了宝贵的情感基础。生动的派对场景，学生喜欢的蛋糕、游戏和歌曲，使学生能够积极的参与课堂，参与学习，有助于学生学习效率的提高。本节课的话题也便于开展一些活动，从而调动学生的学习积极性。
